The picturesque Filzalmsee lake Hochbrixen at 1,300 m elevation is a natural wonder in the Kitzbühl Alps where the senses are focused in a natural way as you experience the mountain landscape to the fullest.
There are so many enjoyable ways to experience the highland moor biotope at the Filzalmsee lake. Wade through the mud pond, dip your toes in the water, or learn more about the moor at the special showcase. On the panoramic trails around the Filzalmsee lake, hikers can refresh themselves from head to toe with Kneipp baths and foot reflexology along the special barefoot path.
Don’t forget your swimwear!
Pack your swimwear, sunscreen and preferably a second set of clothing with you so you can experience the mountain lake and the highland moor to the fullest.
The Filzalmsee lake Mountain Adventure World is easily accessible from theHochbrixen cable car. The ascent is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Please note that the cable car’s door is only 60cm wide. Ample free parking is available at the valley station of the cable car.
You are of course welcome to hike up to the Filzalmsee lake. Those who prefer a more comfortable option can ascend with one of the cable cars. SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental tariffs apply.
The Filzalmsee lake boasts rare animal and plant species as well as a natural Alpine meadow landscapes,which visitors can explore along panoramic circular trails. Junior hikers are encouraged to let off steam at the playground or get to know nature better at the experience stations. The lake itself has many surprises in store: Be curious!
Keen to make the hike to the "Söll-Filzalmsee lake" a little easier? The tour is also possible in the opposite direction by taking the Söll gondola lift and hiking via the Silleralm and Filzalmsee lake to the Hexenwasser. Then follow trail no. 51 to the Stampfangerkapelle chapel via the Eilhäusl bridge into the valley.
