"GuestCard with taxi voucher" promotion

Vouchers for free taxi rides

Your guest card includes vouchers for free taxi rides within the Wilder Kaiser region, ensuring that you, as a guest, can stay mobile even when ski and hiking buses are unavailable or running infrequently. The "GuestCard with taxi voucher" promotion is new. It will be offered for the first time as a pilot project from 8 March to 9 May 2025.

What is the concept?

What is the concept?

  • The GuestCard includes four vouchers for free taxi rides when only a few ski or hiking buses are operating in the region.
  • Each taxi voucher is valid for one person.
  • The taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys within the Wilder Kaiser region, covering the municipalities of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, and Söll.
  • For trips within your own holiday resort (e.g. from your accommodation to the cable car) or to a neighbouring village (e.g. from Scheffau to Söll), one taxi voucher per person is required (1 zone).
  • For trips to more distant locations within the Wilder Kaiser region (e.g. from Ellmau to Söll), two vouchers per person are required (2 zones).

Required number of taxi vouchers per person and journey.

Taxi vouchers Ellmau Going Scheffau Söll
Ellmau 1 1 1 2
Going 1 1 2 2
Scheffau 1 2 1 1
Söll 2 2 1 1

Please note: The minimum occupancy per trip is 2 persons (whether fellow travelers or third parties). Individuals travelling alone in a taxi will need to use double the number of vouchers per journey (1 zone = 2 vouchers, 2 zones = 4 vouchers).

GuestCard promotion = ticket

Also included in the GuestCard is the free, year-round use of all public bus services up to the final stop.

How does it work?

Please make sure that...

  • - You are travelling during a "GuestCard with taxi voucher" period
  • - The start and destination of the journey are within the Wilder Kaiser region (Ellmau, Going, Scheffau or Söll)
  • - Each fellow traveler has the GuestCard with him/her and there are still enough taxi vouchers on his/her GuestCard
  • - You are using a taxi from a taxi company that participates in the "GuestCard with taxi voucher" promotion
  • - The driver scans the GuestCard BEFORE the journey begins and confirms that the journey is free of charge for you

Did everything go smoothly? Then please recommend our offer to others!

Important questions at a glance

What does the "GuestCard with taxi voucher" promotion include?

During defined periods, four taxi vouchers for free taxi rides in the Wilder Kaiser region are automatically deposited on each GuestCard.

Who can use the taxi vouchers?

Guests who stay overnight in the Wilder Kaiser region between 08.03.2025 and 09.05.2025 and are in possession of a valid Wilder Kaiser GuestCard can redeem the taxi vouchers by showing and scanning the GuestCard in the taxi.

The taxi vouchers can be used daily from 7 am - 10 pm.

Where are the taxi vouchers valid?

The taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys within the Wilder Kaiser region, i.e. for journeys within the municipal area of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll. The taxi vouchers are NOT valid for journeys to the towns of Itter, Schwoich, Kufstein, St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf and Reith, which border the Wilder Kaiser region.

How are the taxi vouchers used?

Before the journey begins, the GuestCard is scanned by the taxi driver and the corresponding number of vouchers (1 zone = 1 voucher; 2 zones = 2 vouchers) is debited.

How many taxi vouchers do I need for one trip?

For trips within your own holiday resort (e.g. from your accommodation to the cable car) or to a neighbouring village (e.g. from Scheffau to Söll), one taxi voucher per person is required (1 zone).

Taxi vouchers are non-transferable and can only be used by the person to whom the GuestCard is issued. A cash payment of the voucher value is not possible.

Can a taxi company refuse a ride?

Do I have to book the trip in advance or can I call a taxi spontaneously?

It is recommended to book a taxi in advance, especially during peak times. However, spontaneous trips are also possible as long as taxis are available.

Can I also use other means of transport such as buses?

No, the taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys with the participating taxi companies and are not transferable to other taxi companies or means of transport.

Are there alternatives to a taxi if I want to travel longer distances or if I have run out of vouchers?
