Taster ski tour

From the piste to the backcountry - entry into the world of ski touring Take courage, come along and let's make our first tracks in the snow! In the morning we will learn deep snow skiing techniques in the ski area (with lift support). From midday we will go on a short ski tour and make our own tracks in the snow. During the first ascent with the skins, we will be shown the ascent technique (making tracks, hairpin bends, etc.) and how to use the avalanche transceiver.

400 bis 700hm | 4 bis 6km | children from 11 years

Registration: by Wednesday 17:00 online or at a tourist information centre in the Wilder Kaiser region (thereafter on request by telephone to the mountain guide)
Participants: min. 4 persons to max. 6 persons (extra charge possible for 2 - 3 participants)
Equipment: touring skis, boots and skins (you can find all hire options here), poles, rucksack with some food, two pairs of gloves (thick and thin), second hat, possibly a change of shirt, ski clothing, sun protection, helmet, money for ski pass
Cost: € 115.00 per person | cash payment directly to the mountain guide
Duration: from 8:30 to approx. 15:00, walking time: approx. 2,5 hours
Meeting point: Hartkaiserbahn valley station, Weißachgraben 5, Ellmau
Requirements: Parallel turns on the red piste, fitness for approx. 2 hours ascent
