Hike / climb up to the hightest peak of the Wilder Kaiser

MOUNTAIN TOUR TO THE HIGHEST PEAK OF THE WILDER KAISER - ‘ELLMAUER HALT’
Ascent via the ‘Gamssänger’ via ferrata with the Schonner Alpine School

From the Wochenbrunner Alm (1,085m) you climb up through forest and alpine pastures to the Gruttenhütte. From there, the path becomes rocky until you reach the start of the Gamssängersteig (A, B, C). This via ferrata takes you up to the highest point of the Wilder Kaiser, secured on a wire rope and/or additionally on the rope of a state-certified mountain guide, via footholds, ladders and rocky paths! On the airy summit of the ‘ELLMAUER HALT’ (2,344m) you can enjoy a fantastic panorama in all directions - and a well-earned break. You then take the same route back down to the Gruttenhütte, and have to concentrate well once again on the climb. The last stage is the descent to the Wochenbrunner Alm.

Registration: until wednesday 17:00 online or at a tourist information centre in the Wilder Kaiser region
Participants: min. 4 persons to max. 6 persons (2 to 3 participants possible with extra charge)
Equipment: good hiking boots, sunglasses, a change of clothes, rucksack, rain and sun protection, food and at least 1.5 litres of drink
Cost: € 110.00 per person incl. state-certified mountain guide, climbing equipment and helmet | payment in cash directly to the guide
Duration: from 06:50 to approx. 16:00 | Walking time: 7 hours
Start: at 06:50 am at the Wochenbrunner Alm, Wochenbrunnweg 44, 6352 Ellmau (parking fee € 5,-)
Meeting point: 08:20 am at the Gruttenhütte with the mountain guide: exact information for the ascent and route to the Gruttenhütte will be sent the day before by the mountain guide via WhatsApp or e-mail, you are also welcome to start earlier and take a longer break or have breakfast at the hut.
Suitable for: Adults, sure-footedness and a head for heights, fitness for approx. 4 hours ascent required with or without via ferrata experience
Cancellation: after 17:00 on wednesday 100% of the daily price must be paid

The tour can also be organised for groups of 4 or more upon request.
