This is a tour of medium difficulty that leads from Going up to the Astberg mountain and back.
 
It heads through the forest and meadows, with a particular attraction being the fantastic view over the Kaisergebirge and the Kitzbüheler Horn mountain. Start the tour at the hiking starting point Going Zentrum (former Tourismus Info Going) (764m) and follow the Dorfstraße. Pass the Raiffeisenbank and turn right over the bridge towards the church square. After the kEISer ice cream factory, keep left and turn into Söllnerweg. Follow the signpost for “Hollenauer Kreuz”.
 
When you come to an intersection on the way, you should make a right turn onto the farm track. Before the Hollenauer Kreuz refreshment stop, you should cross the asphalt road and follow the signpost heading left in the direction of Astberg/Blattlalm.
 
The path will lead you through meadows and along the forest until you reach the Blattlalm mountain hut located in a clearing. At this point, you have already completed the main ascent and you can stop for a well-deserved break on the sun terrace of the Blattlalm. The Astbergsee lake, which is also known as the “mirror of the Wilder Kaiser”, and which is one of the power places of Going, is a wonderful little place to take your time and relax.
 
After having a break, follow the marking no. 9 before bearing right on to the trail and hiking over green pastures until you reach the Jezz AlmResort. Leading away from the mountain hut there is a wide trail that heads along the edge of the forest and back to Astbergbahn/Blattlalm.
 
Keep to the left and hike along the meadow path until you come to the Hollenauer Kreuz refreshment stop, where you can enjoy homemade apple strudel from the comfort of a deckchair. The trail then heads left through the meadow until you reach the Lanzenweg asphalt road at the intersection. Follow this towards the village centre to return to the starting point.
