Solstice bonfires

Description

Following old traditions, fires are lit at the Wilder Kaiser. At the solstice in some places, festivals are celebrated, and solstice fires are lit. The shortest night and the longest day of the year fall on this date, and often not only solstice fires are lit, but also symbols such as the Heart of Jesus. Note: Your highlight—on this day the mountain railways Ellmau, Scheffau, and Söll are also open in the evening. Because the burning of the fire is truly a mountain experience.
