‘Wild Castle’ - Jubiläumssteig half-day via ferrata tour
The climb through the ‘Wild Castle’ (Jubiläumssteig) in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser is a must for all sure-footed mountain hikers with a head for heights! Fantastic rocky backdrops, wonderful viewpoints and exciting passages will stay in your memory for a long time. You can feel safe, as you will be roped up and guided by a state mountain guide.
600 metres | 6 km | sporty children aged 10 and over
Registration: until saturday 17:00 online or at a tourist information centre in the Wilder Kaiser region
Participants: min. 4 persons to max. 9 persons (2 to 3 participants possible with surcharge)
Equipment: mountain clothing and boots, rucksack, provisions
Cost: € 75.00 per person, including equipment hire | payment in cash directly to the mountain guide
Duration: from 8:35 to approx. 13:00 | Walking time: approx. 2 hours
Meeting point: Wochenbrunner Alm, Wochenbrunnweg 44, 6352 Ellmau (parking fee € 5,-)
Please note: Free bus from the bus stop Ellmau Dorf/Bauhof, Dorf 1, 8:20 am to the starting point Wochenbrunner Alm (toll-free)
Suitable for: Adults and teenagers, as well as sporty children from approx. 10 years accompanied, sure-footedness and a head for heights are required
Cancellation: after 17:00 on saturday 100% of the daily price must be paid
The tour can also be organised for groups of 4 or more upon request.
