On the guided tour with Andy Schonner, learn interesting alpine stories first-hand from Gebi Bendler on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Adlerweg.
Learn curious stories and facts about the unique alpine history of the Wilder Kaiser. How did the popular hiking trails and mountain huts come to be developed, what are the well-known summit names of the region based on? What is the story behind the mountaineer's grave and what are the special features of the legendary VII degree of difficulty? The answers are provided by mountain guide and alpine historian Gebi Bendler, who accompanies you on the SPECIAL tour together with mountain guide Andy Schonner.The tour begins with a taxi ride to the Griesner Alm (1,024 m). From there, you take the Eggersteig trail through the ‘Steinerne Rinne’ up to the famous rock faces of Fleischbank and Predigtstuhl. Take a short break at the Ellmauer Tor (2,001 m). At the top you can enjoy an impressive view over the Kitzbühel Alps as far as the main Alpine ridge. The descent is via the sunny south side to the Gaudeamus Hütte (1,263 m) and then on to the Wochenbrunner Alm (1,085 m) with its magnificent panorama.
