Crossing the Kaiser from north to south
Kaiserdurchschreitung with summit experience via the northern ascent through the Ellmauer Tor - and up to the Vordere Goinger Halt (2,242m) Experience the fascination of imposing rock faces, a summit view as far as the main Alpine ridge and the sunny south side of the Wilder Kaiser. Take a taxi to the Griesner Alm (1,024m), from there we climb secured via the Eggersteig (A, B) through the ‘STEINERNE RINNE’, always with a view of the steep, famous rock faces of Fleischbank and Predigtstuhl, where climbing history was written. At the ‘ELLMAUER TOR’ (2,001m), the saddle across to the south side, we take a short break before we reach the summit of the Vordere Goinger Halt (2,242m), also secured in easy climbing passages (1-2) via the northern ascent. Here we are rewarded with a view over the Kitzbühel Alps as far as the main Alpine ridge. We descend southwards to the Wochenbrunner Alm (1,085m) and enjoy the panorama over the Söllandl.
