E-bike tour: the myth of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road

The group sets off early in the morning by taxi and bike trailer to Pinzgau. In Ferleiten (1,145 m), we get on our e-bikes and follow the ‘Glocknerkönig route’. With every bend in the high Alpine road, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountain peaks of the Hohe Tauern, dominated by the Großglockner. After 12.9 km and 1,283 metres of ascent, the tour reaches the Fuscher Törl (2,428 m) for a break. The route continues to the Edelweißspitze (2,521 m) with views of over 300 three-thousand metre peaks. The last destination is the Hochtor (2,503 m), before the tour continues safely to Ferleiten and back to Ellmau by shuttle.

Registration: by 5.30 pm the day before online, at a tourist information centre in the Wilder Kaiser region or directly at Schuh&Sport Günther
Participants: min. 4 persons to max. 12 persons
Equipment: e-mountain bike, helmet (compulsory), appropriate clothing, sun and rain protection, sufficient drinks, cycling gloves (recommended)
Costs excl. e-bike hire: € 115.00 per person (e-bike must have at least 650W battery) | payment directly to the provider
Costs incl. e-bike hire: € 145.00 per person (hire for the whole day) | payment directly to the provider, possible additional costs: refreshments
