Paragliding in the Wilder Kaiser Region
The fascination of tandem flying in the Wilder Kaiser region
Tandem flying is considered to be one of the most fascinating air sports, and is even addictive for some pilots.
Being close to nature, feeling the wind in your face, gliding through the air at eye level with the birds and taking in the mountain panorama from a bird's eye view: that's paragliding at the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol.
With just a few steps, you can take off into the air together with the trained pilot on the slopes of the Hartkaiser (Ellmau) or on the summit of the Hohe Salve (Söll).

Information for paragliders
Gentle take-off slopes and incredible views of the jagged rocky peaks: paragliding at the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol not only has a special charm, but also special rules, as it is a nature reserve. Here you will find all the information you need for your independent flight in Ellmau or Söll.
Our answers to your questions
Yes, in our Kaisergebirge nature reserve there is a strict ban on taking off, which has been declared by the landowners.
Paragliders are often perceived by chamois and other wild animals as birds of prey, which triggers flight behaviour and, in the worst case, can lead to the animals crashing and dying. The flight ban is therefore primarily intended to protect wild animals in the Kaiser Mountains!
There is an official take-off and landing site in Söll. You can find all information here!
In Ellmau only with registration. Please send enquiries and registration for take-off and landing sites directly to
