Austrian Eco-label Accommodations in the Wilder Kaiser region
#evenbetterinreality
The Austrian Eco-label is an independent seal of quality that aids environmentally conscious guests in selecting accommodations in line with their values. The seal incorporates all pillars of sustainability and addresses ecological and economic aspects as well as social aspects. The Eco-label stands for environmental awareness and high quality. To ensure that standards are maintained, the certified businesses are re-inspected every 4 years.
As part of the Wilder Kaiser’s self-perception, quality of life through sustainable tourism was established as a vision for the region. In this context, there is also a need for sustainably oriented tourism businesses that anchor this self-perception in their daily operations and proactively and self-confidently communicate this to the outside world. For this reason, the Wilder Kaiser tourist board supports businesses in the region in obtaining Austrian Eco-label certification. Relevant information about the Austrian Eco-label, certified hotels and accommodation establishments, as well as all hosts currently pursuing certification are available on this page.
Wilder Kaiser tourist board promotes all businesses that want to be certified with the Austrian Eco-label. As a result, many interested accommodation providers from Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll have already taken part in free information events and some of them are now in the certification process. The Eco-label is granted as soon as all mandatory criteria and a certain percentage of points from the target proposals have been fulfilled. The catalogue of criteria covers areas such as business management, environmental management, energy, water, waste, cleaning, hygiene, construction, food, transport and more. Every tourism operation is eligible for certification with the Austrian Eco-label.
