On June 27 and 28, 2025, get ready for a competition of superlatives in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser: The Kaiserkrone Trail event! Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned skyrunner, choose between the Ultra Trail, Skyrace, Medium Trail, Short Trail und Kids Trail competitions that lead up and around the spectacular Wilder Kaiser mountain range.

The Kaiserkrone Skyrace
Run along impressive fixed-rope routes and ascend the mighty peaks of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range! The ISF-qualified race is a true challenge for real skyrunners. In 2025, the Kaiserkrone Skyrace will once again be part of the Skyrunner World Series. Since 2020 and 2024, top athletes have competed on the Kaiserkrone Skyrace course, praising its technically demanding route. The 2024 winner was Manuel Merillas from Spain, who regularly claims podium finishes in international races. The women's winner was Anastasia Rubtsova, another internationally renowned skyrunner.

    Environmentally friendly arrival

    The Wilder Kaiser region can be reached by public transport via the railway stations of Wörgl, Kufstein and St. Johann. Within the region there are regular scheduled buses, hiking buses and KaiserJet buses. When staying overnight in Ellmau, Going, Scheffau or Söll, the regional buses can be used free of charge with the Wilder Kaiser GästeCard.

    The event railing of the Kaiserkrone Trail is located in the village centre of Scheffau, directly at the bus stop Scheffau Dorf. For the journey to the event we recommend the KaiserJet or regular buses.

Arrival & Parking

The event area with start & finish area is located in the village centre of Scheffau between the music pavilion, primary school and church

The event area is very well suited for an environmentally friendly arrival. We recommend arriving on foot if possible, by bike (bike racks at the Tourist Information or Scheffau Municipal Office), by bus KaiserJet 4061 or line post bus 4060. The bus stop "Scheffau Dorf" is located directly at the event.

Parking for cars: at the "Widschwendter-Parkplatz" near the Scheffau mountain railway, address: Blaiken 38, 6351 Scheffau - approx. 1km to the start/finish area.
