On June 27 and 28, 2025, get ready for a competition of superlatives in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser: The Kaiserkrone Trail event! Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned skyrunner, choose between the Ultra Trail, Skyrace, Medium Trail, Short Trail und Kids Trail competitions that lead up and around the spectacular Wilder Kaiser mountain range.
The Kaiserkrone Skyrace
Run along impressive via ferratas and scale the mighty peaks of the Wilder Kaiser.The Kaiserkrone Skyrace is a real challenge for true skyrunners. The technically demanding course inspires female athletes and has been attracting both experienced runners and ambitious trail runners for years. In 2020 and 2024 in particular, numerous top athletes demonstrated their skills on this spectacular course.

Environmentally friendly arrival
The Wilder Kaiser region can be reached by public transport via the railway stations of Wörgl, Kufstein and St. Johann. Within the region there are regular scheduled buses, hiking buses and KaiserJet buses. When staying overnight in Ellmau, Going, Scheffau or Söll, the regional buses can be used free of charge with the Wilder Kaiser GästeCard.
The event railing of the Kaiserkrone Trail is located in the village centre of Scheffau, directly at the bus stop Scheffau Dorf. For the journey to the event we recommend the KaiserJet or regular buses.

The event area with start & finish area is located in the village center of Scheffau between the music pavilion, elementary school and church and is very well suited for an environmentally friendly journey. If possible, we recommend arriving on foot, by bike (bike racks at the tourist information office or Scheffau municipal office), by bus KaiserJet 4061 or regular post bus 4060. The bus stop “Scheffau Dorf” is right next to the event.

Parking for cars: Parking spaces in the center are very limited. We recommend the following day parking lots, each approx. 1 km on foot from the start/finish area:
- Park & Ride parking lot next to the ENI gas station, address: Loferer Str. 1, 6351 Scheffau (free hiking bus to “Scheffau Dorf” approx. every 30-40 minutes)
- Widschwendter parking lot, address: Blaiken 38, 6351 Scheffau
- Scheffau cable car, address: Schwarzach 1, 6351 Scheffau
