The Gruttenhütte is a rustic refuge in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser. It is picturesquely situated at 1,620 m, on the south side of the Wilder Kaiser with a fantastic view. Cosy evenings in the hut invite you to enjoy the beautiful sun terrace with panoramic views of the magnificent peaks of the mountains. It is the starting point for various hikes, summit adventures and climbing tours in alpine terrain.
The newly rebuilt Gruttenhütte has about 90 beds which are divided into twin- to eight-bed rooms and mattress. The prices for overnight stays can be enquired directly at the Gruttenhütte. There is a ladies- and a men showers for a fee. Dogs are not allowed and only can sleep outside. The hut does not have WiFi.
