Yin Yoga is a gentle style of yoga that focuses on the passive stretching of the muscles, ligaments and tendons. The asanas are held for several minutes, usually sitting or lying down. These long-held postures have a meditative effect and are particularly effective for relieving tension and stretching connective tissue.
