When it gets cooler, many children wear hats, scarves and socks made from sheep's wool. But how does the raw wool actually turned into yarn? Maria gives you interesting information about sheep, which belongs to the horned family!
The sheep at the nature conservation farm are shorn twice a year and the precious raw wool is processed into products. You will find out what is special about the wool, how the sheep feel when they are shorn, why sheep stay dry even when it rains and why they don't like to be alone during the tour of the Artenreich nature conservation farm.
Afterwards, we'll felt hiking cushions together from the farm's own sheep's wool, which every child can take home with them!

This programme is exclusively for guests of the Wilder Kaiser region with accommodation in the towns of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau or Söll.
