...on the tracks of the Bergdoktor... The farm Hinterschnabel is mentioned in the village history around 1694. In 1985 Mr. Johann Leitner takes over the farm of his mother. Until the film team from the NDF became aware of the farm, the residential house stood empty. Meadows and fields are still cultivated by Mr. Leitner and his family. Gladly, the residential wing was handed over to the Bergdoktor film team and lovingly converted into the famous practice. The locals are proud of the new landmark that is now admired every week by about 7 million TV viewers and makes you want to go on vacation in the Tyrolean mountains.
The original film set can be visited every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the summer (except during filming without prior notice). Bergdoktor fans, but also those interested in the film, have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes: See the workplace of Dr Martin Gruber's (Hans Sigl). In front of the Bergdoktor's surgery, you can enjoy the wonderful view and review the film scenes in this beautiful location.
