The venerable inn in Going at the Wilder Kaiser has been presenting itself from its most hospitable side for over 400 years and impresses not only with an incomparably homely atmosphere and an excellent selection of food and wine but also with many a detail that you have never experienced before.
Creaking stairs, rough old wood walls and a centuries-old tradition that is hidden behind every single board are served just as authentically in the old "Stangl" inn as many regional delicacies for which Stanglwirt junior manager Johannes Hauser is responsible.
Together with the culinary team led by chef Thomas Ritzer, the rustic Tyrolean restaurant at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser spoils the guests' palates according to all the rules of the culinary art. And this has been the case for more than 300 years without a day off. On top of that, you can enjoy many a feast for the eyes in the legendary "Kuhstall-Stube" at the same time.
The Gasthof Stanglwirt not only stands for first-class cuisine, but also for sustainability. For this reason, a large part of the dairy and meat products are produced on the in-house organic farm. This is the reason why the Stanglwirt has been awarded the "Conscious Tyrol" award as well as the AMA seal of approval.
