The origin of the Stanglwirt can be found in agriculture and in the 400-year-old traditional inn, where you can purchase and enjoy the specially produced food, such as our "Stangl-Kas". The good 15 cows, who find lush mountain meadows full of alpine herbs and flowers around the Stangl-Alm and who spend the summer on the alp from mid-June to September, thank it with the best milk quality. Every year, 140 tons of pure organic raw milk are produced, and thus around 3 tons of hearty Stanglwirt organic alpine cheese, which is produced according to the old tradition...
