Feast of Corpus Christi & Procession

08:30 a.m.: FESTIVAL SERVICE in the parish church of Going followed by a PROCESSION with the brass band of Going.
(Meeting point of the associations at the fire department parking lot at 08:15 a.m.; in case of bad weather, the procession will take place in the church!)

Corpus Christi is not only a high feast of the Catholic Church year in Austria but also a public holiday.
Corpus Christi, or the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, celebrates the physical presence of Jesus Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist.

The procession, in which the faithful accompany the monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament carried by the priest in a procession through the streets with prayer and singing.

At each of the four stations of the procession, a passage from the Gospel is recited.
Intercessions are said, and the sacramental blessing is given in all directions and over the city.
