The apartment Alpenblick consists of a bedroom with a new box spring bed (180x200 cm, 2 separate mattresses), a living room with a sofa bed (lying surface 1,40m x 2,04 m), a new kitchen and a bathroom with shower on a total of 70 sqm2. It is located on the third floor of the Berghof and has two balconies with a fantastic view of the Wilder Kaiser and the Ellmauer Tor, plus a west-facing balcony for sunbathing from midday, in front of the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a Cremesso capsule machine, a regular coffee machine and a washing machine with dryer. A large TV invites in the living room in bad weather, unlimited wifi, plus access to Netflix and Amazon Prime.
By the end of November 22, the apartment was completely renovated, except for the bathroom. Wood planks were installed everywhere. In the bedroom there is now a workstation equipped with a computer and keyboard for home office; already when you wake up you can enjoy the super view of the Wilder Kaiser. In the living room there is now a comfortable corner bench. All furniture is custom made by a local carpenter.
The apartment is located above the village center in Ellmau, after 1.3 km or 3 minutes drive past the church you have reached your destination.
In winter snow chains may be necessary. There is plenty of free parking in front of the Berghof. A bread roll service is offered through the Gschwendtner bakery, next to the church. The location of the Berghof is great in winter and summer : In winter ski in-ski out, i.e. you get your pre-warmed ski boots from the ski boot cellar, your skis from the ski cellar, strap on your skis and you are directly on the slopes; after about 3 minutes drive you have reached the parking lot of the Hartkaiserbahn. This is the entrance to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental with a total of 90 lifts, 288 km of slopes and 80 rustic huts. The return trip is completely hassle-free via the Hausbergbahn, lift no. 90. With the guest card, it is also possible to use the C1 mini-bus free of charge, it stops directly at the Berghof, then travels through the village to the Hartkaiserbahn, operating hours from 08:30-17:00, lunch break from 12:30-14:00.
In summer you can go on extensive hikes, for example to the Wochenbrunnalm or in the other direction, towards Hausberg, here you can then reach the Treichlhof or the Brenner Alm. The location is also very suitable as a starting point for mountain bike tours. An absolute must is Ellmau of course for fans of the TV series "The Mountain Doctor", maybe you have the same luck as me and may make a photo with Hans Sigl and Mark Keller. For golfers, there are 2 golf courses in the immediate vicinity, the 27-hole Wilder Kaiser course 1.3 km away or a 9-hole Kaisergolf course 2.6 km away
