Description

The church square is the heart of Going. On one side is the baroque church, where famous people have married, and on the other is the popular Wilder Kaiser photo motif. A jewel of the village square is the stone village fountain built in the 1960s with a copper statue of St Florian, the patron saint of fire departments. The bandstand rises from its hiding place once a week when the Bundesmusikkapelle Going plays its weekly summer concert on the square. On five Friday evenings in summer, almost forgotten skills are brought back to life at the craft market on the picturesque church square. The Bergdoktor film inn and the film pharmacy are also located on the church square, which is ideal for film and drama.
