Reading with Silvia Pistotnig
The reading will be from the book ‘Die Wirtinnen’. The book is about a family story from Carinthia in the 1930s: 3 women - 3 generations - 3 stories. A musically gifted grandmother, a daughter as a maths genius and a granddaughter as a talented footballer. Topics such as gender roles, a sense of duty, taking over a business and the basics of life are dealt with.

About the person Silvia Pistotnig:
Silvia Pistotnig was born in Carinthia in 1977. She studied communication and political science in Vienna. She is also a mother, author and editor. Silvia is also the winner of the Carinthian Literature Prize.
